The Mi Mix 3 originally sported the Snapdragon 845 SoC from last year, which of course did not have 5G capabilities, so Xiaomi has swapped that out for the new 7nm based Snapdragon 855 SoC which has support for 5G networks, making the smartphone futureproof.
