Nubia Red Magic 3S: Design and Display
In terms of design, the Red Magic 3S comes with almost a similar design language as the Red Magic 3, and two color options: Mecha Silver and Cyber Shade. It comes with narrow bezels on the top and the bottom, and has different geometric patterns on the back, like the diamond-shaped camera module, hexagon-shaped fingerprint scanner, and accented highlights near the corners. To keep the phone’s performance from throttling, the company has included an internal liquid-cooling module and a fan to offer better air circulation. Towards the front, the 3S flaunts a 6.65-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with 2340 × 1080 pixels screen resolution, 19.5:9 aspect ratio, 240Hz touch response rate, 90Hz refresh rate, HDR support.
Nubia Red Magic 3S: Performance
At its core, the Red Magic 3S comes with a 7nm Octa-Core Snapdragon 855+ processor Adreno 640 GPU running under the hood. It has 8GB / 12GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB / 256GB of UFS 3.0 storage. Since it’s a gaming phone, the 3S packs in a whopping 5000mAh battery to power everything, and offer more gaming hours. Further, the battery supports 27W QuickCharge 4.0, which fills up the juice in a matter of minutes to allow you to get back to gaming again. Talking about other hardware specifications, the phone includes a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, 3.5mm audio jack, USB Type-C, front-facing stereo speakers, and DTS:X audio. On the software front, the 3S runs on the company’s Redmagic OS 2.1 based on Android 9 Pie.
Nubia Red Magic 3S: Camera
For optics, the Red Magic 3S sports a single, 48MP Sony IMX586 camera on the rear, with 0.8μm pixel size, f/1.75 aperture, and dual-LED flash. Coming to the front, it has a 16MP front-facing camera with an f/2.0 aperture for selfies. The company says the 48MP camera on the back can record up to 8K video at 30fps.
Nubia Red Magic 3S: Pricing and Availability
The Nubia Red Magic 3S comes in two configurations: 8GB + 128GB and 12GB + 256GB, and is priced at INR 35,999 and INR 47,999 respectively. It will go on sale starting October 21 on Flipkart.
