Momentum for Chrome will give new powers to your New Page tab in Chrome, if I can put it that way. The extension replaces your new tab page in Chrome with what it call a ‘personal dashboard’ featuring tasks, weather, and inspiration. After you install it, you will be asked to signup with your email and then you will start setting up the New Page tab. You will be able to set your focus for the day and every time you will open a new tab, it will remind you of what you want to achieve in that day. It also lets you see the weather for your area and comes with a todo list which tracks your tasks, as well. What I like the most is the clean design, the beautiful imagery and the motivating quotes. It’s just the best way to remember a quote, really. There’s also an ‘apps’ button which takes you back to the default Chrome home page when needed. The extension has been recently update with a couple of new features, which allow you now to add your own links to the new Links widget and also to search from within Momentum. The tool now comes with user accounts, as well, and they are working to bringing syncing across devices, as well. This is really a great extension that you need to have a look at, especially if you use the New Tab page on Chrome as much as I do. With this occasion, you might want to check out a post from more than five years ago when we talked about a similar extension.
