Mr. Faisal Siddiqui, President HTC South Asia has said: And HTC India spoke to Technology Personalized to clarify that India will indeed be getting the Snapdragon 820 powered HTC 10 soon, but stopped short of mentioning the possible date of the launch. As per our sources, both HTC 10 and HTC 10 Lifestyle will be coming to India, but we aren’t sure if they will launch together or one after the other. The HTC 10 Lifestyle carries the same look, build and most of the internals, but still differs from the flagship HTC 10 in the processor and RAM departments. The HTC 10 Lifestyle is powered by a Snapdragon 652 processor and has 3GB RAM as against Snapdragon 820 and 4GB of RAM on HTC 10. The Lifestyle variant comes with just 32GB of storage, while the HTC 10 has two options – 32GB and 64GB. Both have a microSD slot to extend storage. To be fair to HTC, the company never officially confirmed that they won’t be launching the flagship HTC 10 in India, Indonesia and few other countries, but then the local HTC sites in these countries only listed the Snapdragon 652 powered HTC 10 Lifestyle model, which was the reason behind the furore. Thankfully, the company has acted swiftly to dismiss the concerns. We would have to wait for the official launch date, availability and pricing details. Stay tuned.
