Honor V30 and V30 Pro: Design and Display
The V30 and V30 Pro come with a dual-hole punch design on the front, which houses a dual front-facing camera setup. Towards the front, the phones flaunt a 6.57-inch FHD LCD curved glass display with 2400 × 1080 pixels screen resolution and 96% NTSC color gamut. Both, the V30 and V30 Pro come in four color options: Icelandic Fantasy, Magic Night Star River, Charm Star Blue, and Twilight Orange.
Honor V30 and V30 Pro: Performance
At its core, both V30 and V30 Pro have a Kirin 990 5G processor with Mali-G76 GPU running at their core, coupled with 6GB/8GB RAM with 128GB storage on the V30 and 8GB RAM with 128GB/256GB storage on the V30 Pro. To power everything, the V30 packs in a 4200mAh, while the Pro variant has surprisingly a smaller 4100mAh. Both devices come with 40W fast-charging support that claims to juice up the device from 0 to 30% in just 30 minutes. Additionally, the Pro variant also comes with 27W wireless charging and 7.5W reverse charging, which is missing on the regular V30. As for other hardware specifications, both devices come with support for 5G SA/NSA, dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, and USB Type-C. On the software front, the V30 and V30 Pro run on Magic UI 3.0.1 based on Android 10 out of the box.
Honor V30 and V30 Pro: Camera
For optics, the V30 and V30 Pro, both sport a triple camera setup on the rear arranged in a rectangular camera module. However, they do differ in the lens that they use. The V30 has a 40MP primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle with f/2.4 aperture, and an 8MP telephoto with f/2.4 aperture, AF, OIS, and 3x optical zoom, with LED flash. On the other hand, the V30 Pro comes with a 40MP primary sensor with a slightly bigger f/1.6 and OIS, a 12MP ultra-wide-angle sensor with f/2.2 aperture and AF, and the same 8MP telephoto sensor with f/2.4 aperture, AF, OIS, and 3x optical zoom, with LED flash. On the front, both the devices come with a dual front-facing hole-punch camera setup, which includes a 32MP primary camera with f/2.0 aperture and an 8MP secondary sensor with f/2.2 aperture.
Honor V30 and V30 Pro: Pricing and Availability
The Honor V30 comes in two configurations: 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 128GB, priced at 3299 CNY (~ 468 USD / 33,518 INR) and 3699 CNY (~ 525 USD / 37,593 INR), respectively. Similarly, the Honor V30 Pro also comes in two configurations: 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB, priced at 3899 CNY (~ 553 USD / 39,615 INR) and 4199 CNY (~ 596 USD / 42,663 INR), respectively. As for the availability, the V30 will go on sale in China on December 5, whereas, the V30 Pro will be available starting December 12.
