The Asus Zenfone Lite L1 comes with a conservative plastic build with a metallic finish that’s available in either Gold or Black colors. There’s a 5.5-inch screen with a resolution of 720p and an aspect ratio of 18:9. Asus says it has managed to fit the panel in the body of a 5-inch phone. For performance, the Zenfone Lite L1 draws power from a Snapdragon 430 octa-core chipset, a meager 2GB of RAM, 16GB of onboard storage which can be expanded through a dedicated MicroSD card slot, and a 3000mAh battery without quick charging. The camera arrangement on the Zenfone Lite L1 houses a single snapper on both the sides — a 13-megapixel sensor on the rear with an LED flash, an aperture of f/2.0, and a 5-megapixel f/2.4 lens for selfies which is also assisted by a soft flashlight. In addition, the phone features all the usual bells and whistles such as Portrait Mode, live filters, and HDR. One of the biggest compromises Asus has made to reach that affordable price point is to drop the fingerprint sensor. Instead, the phone maker expects you to make due with a software-based face unlock feature. Speaking of software, the Zenfone Lite L1 comes preloaded with Android Oreo layered over by the company’s ZenUI 5.0 skin. It also packs a big-magnet loud speaker, the output for which can be manually finetuned or boosted from the settings. The Asus Zenfone Lite L1 is priced at Rs 6,999 but it will be available at a thousand rupee discount for throughout the festive season. Jio customers can avail an additional Rs 2,200 cashback through recharge coupons. It will be exclusively available on Flipkart sometime during the forthcoming Festive Dhamaka Days.
