This is the first-time Apple is selling the refurbished iPhones in the open. The iPhone 6s starts from $449 (for the 16GB) while the iPhone 6s Plus is being sold in 16GB, 64GB variants at $529 and $589 respectively. Also from the looks of it seems that all the colors including Silver, God and Rose Gold are available. By opting for a refurbished phone users can save nearly $100 and considering the fact that all the refurbishes devices come with a 1-year factory warranty it isn’t a bad deal after all. The prices are also comparable with other third party retailers selling on Ebay and other ecommerce destinations. All the refurbished iPhones are unlocked and come equipped with a new battery and an outer housing shell which to be fair are the only parts that usually get worn out during the due course of usage. It is most likely that the deluge of iPhones is from the Apple’s Update program which lets its user update to a new iPhone every year. That said, the number of iPhones on the offing will be limited and if you set your heart on one it’s better that you buy it without any delays. With the plummeting iPhone sales it is very likely that Apple will introduce iPhone trade in offers that one simply cannot refuse. It’s a win-win situation for Apple who will achieve the sales target and the used phones can always be refurbished and offloaded.
